Dr. Claudia Ziegler Acemyan is a human factors scientist and safety consultant. Dr. Acemyan’s work focuses on a range of different topics including safety, human error, incident analysis, warnings, stop work authority, instructions and manuals, system/environment design, system usability, user-centered design, and system/environment evaluations using scientific methods and advanced statistics.
Dr. Acemyan completed her Ph.D. in human factors/human-computer interaction psychology at Rice University. Her education also includes a M.A. in architecture from U.C.L.A., a M. Arch. from Rice University, and B.A. in psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Acemyan has most recently worked at Rice University’s Institute for Global Health as the Director of Human Factors, NASA’s Johnson Space Center (through KBRwyle), and Edward R. Ziegler LLC (a leading safety consultant and expert witness).
